Who is eligible to participate in the PACE programs?

With more than a quarter century of history recognizing innovations driven by automotive suppliers, the PACE Award today is recognized as the award in the global automotive industry that identifies and celebrates the latest game-changing innovation from the plant floor to the product to the showroom floor. The PACE Award is the program for you.

Suppliers, including startups, that have reached a working pilot demonstration phase but are not yet commercialized with a contracted sale. Traditional and non-traditional automotive suppliers are encouraged to submit their innovations for review in the PACEpilot program.

When do you pay the application fee?

PACE Award applications received and/or submitted by June 16th will incur the standard entry fee of $2,000 USD.

PACEpilot applications received and/or submitted by June 16th will incur the standard fee of $1,000 USD.

If you are paying by check or there are special circumstances related to your entry fee, please contact Nuha Mosa at nuha.mosa@autonews.com.

Can I submit multiple entries?

Yes. Traditionally, several companies have made multiple entries and use the PACE Awards program as a means of independently gauging the innovation performance of individual business units.

The on-line application process facilitates multiple entries by offering a Web-based mechanism for team editing and reviewing. The person who enters the original application in the system can invite other team members to participate in developing the PACE Award application.

It is up to the applying companies to decide whether and how to coordinate their applications. In practice, a central coordinator can start the applications for all of the companies' innovation applications and bring in editors/reviewers from the individual business units. Alternatively, each business unit can initiate individual applications and send invitations to a corporate coordinator to review/edit prior to submission.

This is my first time submitting an application, how do I ensure I am doing it correctly?

The first recommendation is to have an independent internal review of your application by a small team of senior technical and commercial executives from outside your application team, but still within your company.

As a first time applicant, if you still have questions and need clarification, please contact Nuha Mosa at nuha.mosa@autonews.com.
