Describe the key technical/commercial/organizational obstacles you overcame to deliver this innovation.
Innovation is a breakthrough or radical departure from the norm and is often seen as an uncommon solution to a common problem among customers and competitors.
In this question, the judges want to understand:
- What were the significant challenges/barriers your team encountered developing this innovation and bringing it to market?
- Describe the product, process, customer, materials and/or methods obstacles you overcame.
- Describe the possible alternative(s) and the advantages of the chosen solution.
- What allowed you to take a different path, (i.e. depart from the commonsense notion of best practices.) to come up with the innovation.
- Is this a new standard for everyone? Have other suppliers attempted this?
- What were the challenges in shepherding the innovation through internal and customer objections?
