The PACE Awards Jury understands that patents are frequently not a significant innovation marker (e.g. When the company adopts a strategy of trade secrets to protect intellectual property.) However, It can be useful to know about any awards and/or patents to the extent they document independent validation that the innovation is unique and significant.
